Spencer, Iowa — On Wednesday, June 17th, 2015 at approximately 7:54 P.M. Officers of the Spencer Police Department investigated a complaint of illegal narcotics activity at 415 4th Ave W #3. During the investigation, 20-year-old Dalton Goodman of Storm Lake fled on foot from the residence. Officers engaged in a foot pursuit and subsequently arrested Goodman several blocks away. Goodman was initially taken into custody on three outstanding arrest warrants.
Officers completed a search of the residence and located marijuana, illegal prescription medications, and drug paraphernalia. 21-year-old Matthew Dungan of Spencer was charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Used, a serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misd. 19-year-old Samantha Elliot of Spencer was charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Used and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 19-year-old Taylor Pohar of Spencer was charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Used, and Possession of Illegal Contraband in a Correctional Facility, a Class D felony. 18-year-old Trevor Foxhoven of Spencer was charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Used, and Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver, a class D Felony. Dalton Goodman was charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Used, Interference with Official Acts, a simple misdemeanor, Criminal Trespass, a simple misdemeanor, and 3 outstanding arrest warrants. Those individuals were turned over to the Clay County Jail. A 17-year-old female from Spirit Lake was also taken into custody and charged with Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Used and released to a parent.
