Orange City, Iowa — An Alton man escaped injury when he wrecked his truck on Monday, May 11th near Orange City.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, at about 10:28 am, 24-year-old Joshua Van Wyk of Alton was driving east bound on 400th Street, four miles north of Orange City in a 2004 Ford F250 while pulling a 2014 PJ Utility trailer. According to the report, a tire on the trailer ruptured causing the trailer to sway. Van Wyk lost control of the pickup and entered the south ditch and rolled.
The Van Wyk’s Ford received $5000 damage, and the trailer received $1000 damage.
No injuries were reported.
