Hartley, Iowa — An Oelwein man faces a mixture of felony and misdemeanor charges after an incident at a Hartley residence late last week.
According to the Hartley Police Department, around mid-day Thursday a Hartley woman came home for lunch and found that the back door of her residence had been kicked open. The responding officer conducted a search of the house and allegedly found the woman’s estranged husband hiding in the home’s crawl space. Police say when they searched the man subsequent to his arrest they discovered an article of his estranged wife’s undergarments in his pocket.
Hartley Police say 41-year-old Joshua Evan Moore was placed under arrest on charges of: 3rd Degree Burglary, which is a Class D Felony; Stalking, an Aggravated Misdemeanor; 4th Degree Criminal Mischief, a Serious Misdemeanor; and Criminal Trespassing, a Simple Misdemeanor.
