Hull, Iowa — A Hull woman was taken to the hospital after an accident near Casey’s in Hull on Monday afternoon, June 28th, 2021.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, about 4:45 p.m., 67-year-old Marilyn Brummel of Hull was driving a 2001 Chrysler Sebring westbound on Highway 18. They say 22-year-old Tristan Fraser of Rock Rapids was driving a 2002 Mercury Sable southbound on Division Street. Fraser stopped for the stop sign at Highway 18, entered the intersection and the vehicles collided.
The Hull Ambulance took Brummel to Sioux Center Health.
The Brummel Chrysler sustained about $5,000 in damage. They say the Fraser Mercury sustained about $6,000 in damage.
Fraser was cited on a charge of failure to yield upon entering a through highway.
The sheriff’s office says the Hull Fire Department and Hull Ambulance Squad assisted them with the response to the accident.
