One From Harrisburg, One From Sioux Center Taken To Hospital After Accident

Maurice, Iowa — Women from Harrisburg and Sioux Center were taken to the hospital after an accident at the “Million Dollar Corner,” near Maurice on Monday, April 10th.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 6:35 p.m., 19-year-old Emma Allison of Harrisburg, SD, was driving a 2015 Dodge Ram eastbound on Highway 10, three miles south of Sioux Center. They say 48-year-old Aimee Plasier of Sioux Center was driving a 2021 Toyota Sienna northbound on Highway 75.

It says Allison entered the intersection and the vehicles collided.

The Sioux Center Ambulance took both Allison and Plasier to Sioux Center Health.

Damage to the Dodge was estimated at $8,000, and damage to the Toyota was estimated at $10,000.

Allison was cited on a charge of failure to yield.

The sheriff’s office says the Sioux Center Police Department, Sioux Center Ambulance squad, the Orange City Police Department, Maurice Rescue and the Maurice Fire Department assisted with the response to the accident.
