UPDATE: Subject Transferred To Face Charges In Clay County – One Of Lyon County’s “Most Wanted” Behind Bars In Rock Rapids

Hartley, Iowa — A 35-year-old Hartley woman who had been jailed in Lyon County on multiple theft and narcotics-related charges has now been transferred to the custody of another northwest Iowa county to face charges there.

35-year-old Sarah Graves was transferred from the Pottawattamie County Jail in Council Bluffs to the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids this past Sunday. Then on Tuesday she was transferred from the Lyon County Jail to the Clay County Jail in Spencer.

Clay County authorities say Graves was wanted on a warrant out of their county for a Probation Violation in connection with an earlier conviction in Clay County court.

At last report, Graves was being held at the Clay County Jail in Spencer in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Prior to her arrest by Lyon County Deputies, Graves had been listed as one of ‘Lyon County’s Most Wanted.’

Rock Rapids, Iowa — One of Lyon County’s “Most Wanted” is behind bars in the Lyon County Jail on felony warrants dating back to January of this year.

35-year-old Sarah Loretta Graves was taken into custody by a Lyon County Deputy on Sunday, July 12th, at the Pottawattamie County Jail in Council Bluffs, where she had been incarcerated on an unrelated issue. According to Lyon County Sheriff Stewart Vander Stoep, Graves is charged with: Possession With Intent to Distribute more than 5 grams of Methamphetamine, a Class C Felony; Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, a Class D Felony; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Lottery – Forgery or Theft of Ticket, and 4th Degree Theft.

Graves was transported to the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids where, at last report, she was being held on a $105,300 bond.

Graves had been listed on the Lyon County Sheriff’s website as being one of Lyon County’s Most Wanted.
