One Person Injured In Friday Crash Near Hospers.

Hospers, Iowa — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash near Hospers late Friday afternoon.

According to Sioux County authorities, the mishap took place on 380th Street, two miles south of Hospers, about 5:00 Friday afternoon.

Authorities say 41-year old David Erkes of Sheldon was backing a 2014 Ford F-250 pickup from a residential driveway onto 380th Street, when he reportedly backed into the path of a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 44-year old Stacy Klein of Hospers.

Deputies say Klein was taken to the Orange City Health System Hospital by Hospers Ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.

The Ford sustained an estimated $2-thousand in damage, while Klein’s Chevrolet sustained approximately $7-thousand in damage.

The Sheriff’s office was assisted by the Hospers Ambulance and Hospers Fire Department.
