Primghar, Iowa — A Primghar teen was taken to hospital after an accident on Wednesday near Primghar.
According to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Alyssa Kenney of Primghar was eastbound on 400th Street near Tanager Avenue about 6:35 p.m. in a 1993 Dodge Dakota pickup. That’s about a mile south and four east of Primghar.
According to the report the pickup’s driver side tires went off the road on to the south shoulder. It says Kenney over-corrected and the pickup went into the north ditch, then into a cornfield and rolled.
The Primghar ambulance took Kenney to Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar.
The pickup was totaled with $1,500 in damage. The corn in the field owned by Levi Lundquist sustained $300 in damages.
Kenney was charged with failure to maintain control.
