Hospers, Iowa — A Primghar woman was taken to a hospital after an accident near Hospers on Wednesday, July 26th.
At about 12:30 p.m., 36-year-old Rebecca Strait of Primghar was driving a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander northbound on Highway 60, two miles north of Hospers, when she lost control of the vehicle. It entered the east ditch and came to rest in a corn field.
The Hospers Ambulance took Strait to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.
The Mitsubishi sustained an estimated $500 in damage. The damage to the corn was estimated at $1,500.
The sheriff’s office says the Hospers Fire Department and Hospers Ambulance Squad assisted with the response to the accident, the cause of which, they say remains under investigation.
