Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Rock Rapids woman was injured Monday evening in a single-vehicle crash near Rock Rapids.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, at 7:39 Monday evening 28-year-old Katherine Jane Kassel, of Rock Rapids, was northbound on K-52 just south of Rock Rapids in a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser when she went off the sharp curve, struck the ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its roof.
Deputies say Kassel was transported to Avera Rock Rapids by the Lyon County Ambulance.
Authorities termed the PT Cruiser a total loss.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s office was assisted by Rock Rapids Fire Department, Lyon County Ambulance and Trackside Towing.
