Sanborn Man Faces Felony OWI, Operating Without Owner’s Consent Charges

Sanborn, Iowa — A Sanborn man has been arrested on a felony charge and a number of misdemeanors after he was stopped in Sanborn on Monday.

According to court records, the Sanborn Police Department arrested 36-year-old Terrill Williams at 10:10 p.m. on Monday, February 4th. The records indicate that the officer believes that Williams took a 2007 Chevy Suburban from an address on West First Street in Sanborn, and drove it to a trailer at East 7th and Carroll Street, without the owner’s consent. The officer also believes that Williams was driving while intoxicated.

Williams was charged with third-offense Operating While Intoxicated, a class D felony, and misdemeanor charges of operating without owner’s consent, disorderly conduct, and no valid driver’s license.

Williams was released later that same day. Court records say he faces a preliminary hearing in the case on Tuesday, February 19th.
