Ireton, Iowa — A Sutherland man was taken to the hospital after an accident near Ireton on Monday, February 20th, 2023.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, at about 4:25 p.m., 54-year-old Steven Flint of Sutherland was driving a 2021 Peterbilt semi-tractor pulling a loaded grain trailer turning onto Dove Avenue from 410th Street, about five miles north and a little west of Ireton or eight miles southwest of Sioux Center.
As Flint stopped to wait for a school bus, the grain trailer rolled into the east ditch, causing the truck and trailer to roll onto its side.
The Ireton Ambulance took Flint to the Hawarden Regional Hospital.
Damage to the Peterbilt and trailer was estimated at $12,000.
