Sutherland, Iowa — A Sutherland woman was injured after her vehicle was struck from behind near Sutherland on Wednesday, June 21st.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 8:40 pm on Wednesday, 40-year-old Shondra Murphy of Urbandale was driving a 2016 Honda Pilot westbound on Highway 10, west of Sutherland. Fifty-year-old Charlotte Hale of Sutherland was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy westbound on Highway 10 in front of Murphy. According to the report, Murphy was distracted by a GPS and ran into the back of Hale.
The Honda received $5,000 damage; the GMC received $2,000 damage.
Hale reported minor injuries and took herself to the hospital.
