Sioux Center, Iowa — A Rock Valley woman and a Sioux Center man were in an accident on Saturday, May 9th.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, at about 12:01 pm, 61-year-old Karen Hulstein of Rock Valley was driving a 2001 Dodge Caravan eastbound on 360th Street. Thirty-eight-year-old Salvador Mojica of Sioux Center was backing out of a residential driveway onto 360th Street in a 2003 GMC Denali. Mojica entered onto 360th Street and struck Hulstein on the roadway.
The Dodge received $1500 in damage; the GMC received $500 damage.
No injuries were reported.
Mojica was cited for failing to yield when entering a highway.
