Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will meet in regular session at 4:30 p.m. this Wednesday afternoon in the council chambers at the Sheldon Community Services Center across 9th Street from KIWA Radio.

On their consent agenda are the meeting minutes from the previous meeting, the list of claims, financial reports, a liquor license renewal for the Crossroads Pavilion Event Center, approval of two SCAT applicants, and a resolution and agreement of sewer reconnection. Unless a council member requests that an item be pulled out of the consent agenda to vote on separately, the entire consent agenda will be voted on in a single motion.

In new business, the council will consider an engineering contract on a 19th Avenue reconstruction proposal and an engineering contract on Highway 18 frontage roads. They will continue their ongoing discussion on the city manager position, including discussing the city manager profile. If approved, applications would be due on September 19th with finalist interviews in early to mid-October.

The meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. in the council chambers and is available on YouTube.
