Spencer, Iowa (KUOO) — The Clay County Fair is adding a new division to its Photography Department this year.
Fair officials say the division will document landmarks, architecture, events, and community spirit that have shaped Spencer’s history. It’s being offered in conjunction with the nation’s 250th anniversary.
They add the anniversary theme is also being carried over into many sponsored divisions in the Photography Department, encouraging photographers to capture people, places, traditions, and moments that reflect the American spirit.
Several divisions will feature unique themes, including “Helping our Wildlife” in the Conservation Division and “Streetscapes” in the Film Division.
