Clive, Iowa (RI) — Iowa Lottery sales remain up into this final month of the state fiscal year. Cassandra Trenary from the marketing department told the Iowa Lottery Board this past week that overall sales are nearly 432 million dollars.
Trenary says scratch ticket sales are holding steady.
Proceeds returned to the state through May are just over 88 million dollars — which is ahead of last year by around seven million dollars. Trenary says a bright spot for sales has been the lotto category — which is up 30 percent.
She says the Insta Play category is up nearly 12 percent this fiscal year, and pull tab sales are up nearly eight percent. The Lottery’s fiscal year ends on June 30th.
