MOC-Floyd Valley Community Schools Offers Contract to New Middle School Principal

Orange City, Iowa — A northwest Iowa public school has a new principal.

MOC-Floyd Valley has selected Mr. Blake Wieking as the district’s new middle school principal.

MOC/FV officials tell us Wieking is currently a Middle School Social Studies Instructor in the MOC-Floyd Valley Community School District. Before entering teaching, he served as the head girls’ soccer coach at Northwestern College. He received his Bachelor of Arts, Master’s degree in Teacher Leadership, and principal endorsement from Northwestern College.

Superintendent Mike Mulder says that Mr. Wieking has demonstrated what he called a “strong ability” to build positive relationships with both students and staff through his teaching, as well as his leadership of their PBIS and Leader in Me initiatives. He says they are excited about the steady leadership Wieking will bring as he steps into the middle school principal role.

Wieking will begin his new role with MOC-Floyd Valley Community Schools on August 1st, 2026.
