Okoboji, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — The Okoboji Bible Conference has announced that its 92nd annual gathering will take place from August 1st to August 7th. The week-long event remains free and open to the public, supported entirely through community donations.

Executive Director Mark Schwarz, who has served in the position for a year and six months, says this year’s theme is “Endless Joy,” taken from Nehemiah 8:10. He says the theme emerged during a staff prayer meeting last fall when the team struggled to choose a direction.

Speaker and Musical Lineup

The conference features a mix of national speakers and musical artists throughout the week:

  • The Browns — Regional gospel group performing on Saturday night.

  • John Stumbo — Veteran preacher and denominational figure speaking Sunday morning and evening.

  • Terrian — Rising Christian artist and co-writer of “Big God,” performing Sunday night.

  • Aaron Maddox — Preaching pastor from the Omaha area speaking Monday and Tuesday nights.

  • Rachel Ruth Lotz Wright — Granddaughter of Billy Graham and Angel Ministries speaker featured Wednesday night.

  • Josh Becker — Current New York Times bestselling author speaking Thursday night.

  • Andrew Rutten — Young pastor from Providence Church in the Omaha area speaking Friday night.

“92 for 92” Initiative

To handle high costs of running the event without putting pressure on attendees, the conference board has introduced the “92 for 92” program. Past attendees and supporters are encouraged to send $92 as a seed gift to support the ministry’s 92nd year.

Registration and Special Sessions

Registration is open and required for all children ages 0 to 17 who plan to participate.

Two special events are also scheduled during the week:

  • Global Friends Event — A young adult gathering for individuals ages 18 to 30, held Monday at 9 p.m., featuring free nutty bars and food.

  • Pastors and Ministry Leaders Event — A Tuesday afternoon session honoring pastors and ministry leaders. Attendance is capped at 100 people and requires registration at okobojiconference.org.
