Paullina Man Arrested On Warrant For Alleged Driving In Sheldon Without Owner’s Consent

Sanborn, Iowa — A Paullina man has been arrested on a warrant for charges related to the alleged driving of a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

According to a criminal complaint filed with the O’Brien County Clerk of Court’s Office by the Sheldon Police Department, 37-year-old Marc Gibbons of Paullina is accused of driving a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. He was arrested on a warrant on Monday.

In his statement, the officer says Gibbons left the vehicle at North 4th Avenue and Pine Street in Sheldon. When it was found, the vehicle had pry marks and damage to the driver door right above the hinge latch, according to the officer.

Gibbons was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of driving without the owner’s consent.

He faces a preliminary hearing on April 24th.

At last report, he remained in the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar in lieu of bond.
