Milford, Iowa (KUOO) — The Milford City Council on Monday unanimously adopted a resolution supporting an application to the Iowa Economic Development Authority that would allow a Sheldon-based manufacturer to expand into that community.
Brian Rosenboom, President of Rosenboom Machine & Tool, based in Sheldon, told council members the company is applying for assistance through the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s Business Incentive and Growth (BIG) program.
Rosenboom says the Milford facility, located in the current Oak Hill Outdoors building, would complement the company’s existing manufacturing operations in Sheldon, Spirit Lake, and Bowling Green, Ohio.
He also gave a timeline for the Milford expansion.
Rosenboom thanked those who are helping make the project possible, including the City of Milford and the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation.
Rosenboom Machine & Tool is a family‑owned company that has operated for more than 50 years. The company manufactures custom‑engineered industrial hydraulic cylinders and precision machine components.
