Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will meet in regular session at 4:30 p.m. this Wednesday afternoon in the council chambers at the Sheldon Community Services Center across 9th Street from KIWA Radio.
On their consent agenda are the meeting minutes from the previous meeting, the list of claims, financial reports, the first quarter ambulance insurance adjustments, a liquor license owner update for Cooperative Gas & Oil, a pay application on the Sheldon upper story conversion project, and a pay application for Western Avenue. Unless a council member requests that an item be pulled out of the consent agenda to vote on separately, the entire consent agenda will be voted on in a single motion.
In old business, the council will consider approval of a new agreement with Center Benefits for HR Services.
In new business, the council will hold a public hearing on the 2026-2027 budget and may approve a resolution approving the budget. They will also discuss urban renewal plan projects.
