Brewster, Minnesota (KUOO) — A Sheldon woman was among two victims of a crash north of the Minnesota border on Friday.
The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened at the intersection of Highway 59 and 220th Street near Brewster. Troopers say 29-year-old Kate Broersma of Sheldon was driving a 2004 Ford pickup northbound on Highway 59. A 17-year-old from Heron Lake was driving a 2018 Chevy and had stopped on 220th Street when the two collided.
Both drivers were taken to the Worthington hospital. Their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The Worthington Ambulance Squad, Nobles County Sheriff’s Office, Worthington Police Department, and the Brewster Fire Department assisted on the scene. The collision took place a little after 5:00 p.m.
