Tuesday Forecast: Hot & Stormy

Northwest Iowa — We are entering one of the extreme temperature times in our climate. We live in an area of variety, weather-wise. In the dead of winter in January and February, we can get bone-chilling cold. While in June, July, & August we can get some quite hot temperatures.

Some of those hot temperatures are headed our way this Tuesday. And as is often the case, they will bring the possibility of severe weather. That’s according to meteorologist Jeff Chapman, with the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, where they put together the weather forecasts for northwest Iowa.

He tells us how to cope with the heat (or work around it).

Chapman says the time-shift approach usually works best if you are able to do it. He says hot & steamy weather often brings stormy weather.
