Ohio State head coach Ryan Day guided the Buckeyes to a 2024 national championship, then opened last season with 12 straight wins before falling to Indiana in the Big Ten Championship Game and to Miami in the College Football Playoff.
Much of Ohio State’s 2026 outlook centers on sophomore quarterback Julian Sayin, who finished fourth in Heisman voting as a freshman.
Day says Sayin’s growth, combined with the experience returning on the offensive line, sets the tone for the season.
Ohio State opens the season on Saturday, September 5th, at home against Ball State.
