Alton Man Faces Felony Burglary, Other Charges

Orange City, Iowa — An Alton man is behind bars in Orange City, charged with felony burglary, among other charges.

According to court records, 30-year-old Pedro Juan Torres-Garcia is accused of entering an Orange City home in the early morning hours of July 19th, while there were people in the house. While there, he is accused of stealing a bicycle and a t-shirt.

Sioux County Jail records indicate Torres-Garcia is charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony. They say he is also charged with fifth-degree theft, trespassing, violation of a no-contact order, and possession of marijuana in connection with the incident.

Torres-Garcia was arrested on Friday, August 28th by the Orange City Police Department.
