Hospers, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged burglary near Hospers and they could use your help if you know anything about it.
They report that the investigation started Sunday afternoon. The report came from a home on Kennedy Avenue, six miles northwest of Hospers.
Deputies say the homeowner told them that they came home and reported they witnessed a red, unknown make and model, approximately 10-year-old passenger car leaving their driveway. The homeowner says it was driven by a male.
The homeowner later discovered two jewelry boxes and a shotgun had been stolen from inside the house. The Sheriff’s Office reports they were told that the jewelry boxes contained assorted necklaces and paperwork.
Entry is thought to have been gained through an unlocked door.
