Ireton, Iowa — No one was injured after an Ireton man struck the rear of a boat on a trailer near Ireton on Saturday, June 17th.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that just after 5:00 pm, 52-year-old Murray Anderson of Alton was driving a 2013 Ford F-150 pulling a trailer carrying a boat eastbound on Highway 10, two miles northwest of Ireton. Seventy-year-old Calvin Bootsma of Ireton was driving a 1998 Dodge Ram pickup eastbound on Highway 10 behind Anderson. According to the report, Bootsma struck the rear of the boat and trailer.
The trailer and boat received $10,000 damage. The Dodge received $5,000 damage.
No injuries were reported.
