No Injuries in Collision Near Germantown

O'BrienSheriffGermantown, Iowa — An Orange City woman and a Primghar man both escaped injury after a two vehicle collision north of Germantown on Friday, November 4th.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 8:30 pm on Friday, 41-year-old Bobby Simmons of Primghar was driving a 1990 GMC Sierra northbound on Oak Hill Avenue. Twenty-two-year-old Lauren McDonald of Orange City was driving a 2016 Ford Escape westbound on Highway 10. According to the report, Simmons rolled through the stop sign at the intersection of Oak Hill and Highway 10, and did not see McDonald. Simmons ran into the side of McDonald’s Ford and the Escape ended up in the ditch. The GMC ended up on the side of the road.

The GMC received $15,000 damage. The Ford received $10,000 damage.

No injuries were reported.
