O’Brien County Authorities Seek Help In Burglary Investigation

Primghar, Iowa — The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rural residential burglary at a farm northwest of Primghar that happened late Sunday afternoon (February 17th).

According to authorities the burglary occurred at approximately 4:45 PM Sunday afternoon. Deputies say the residence was broken into and the suspect reportedly appeared to be attempting to steal firearms when he discovered that his actions were being video recorded by a security camera. The suspect then attempted to destroy the video camera system, according to authorities.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone who has information related to this crime to contact the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office with his or her information. The O’Brien County Crime Dusters program is offering a $5-hundred reward to anyone who provides information on this crime that leads to the arrest and conviction of the offender.
