Larchwood, Iowa — A Rock Valley teen was taken to a hospital after an accident on Sunday night, November 13th.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 8:25 p.m., 19-year-old Juan Ramos of Rock Valley was driving a 2007 Toyota Rav4 southbound on Hwy 182, near 160th Street, two miles south of Larchwood, when he lost control of the vehicle. It entered the east ditch and rolled, coming to a rest on its top.
The Lyon County Ambulance crew took Ramos to Sanford Hospital and USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
The deputy’s report says that alcohol was a factor and that the accident remains under investigation.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says the Lyon County Ambulance personnel, the Larchwood Emergency Medical Service, and the Larchwood Fire Department assisted at the scene.
