Rock Valley, Iowa — A Sheldon man suffered minor injuries early this (Thursday, November 17th) morning in an accident near Rock Valley.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened about 3:30 this morning when a 2010 Peterbilt semi-tractor pulling a grain trailer, driven by 49-year old Arturo Gomez of Sheldon was westbound on 330th Street, 10 miles southwest of Rock Valley. Deputies say Gomez’ trailer entered the north ditch, causing the truck to roll onto it’s side.
Authorities say Gomez was transported by the Hudson Ambulance to Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley for treatment of minor injuries. The Peterbilt and trailer sustained approximately $50,000 in damage.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hudson Fire Department, Hudson Ambulance and the Rock Valley Police Department.
