Sioux Deputies Seek Information On Hull Hit & Run

Hull, Iowa — Sioux County authorities are seeking the public’s help to identify the vehicle that struck a semi in Hull, then left without reporting the collision.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of a hit & run collision Thursday night around 9:40 at the Cenex Convenience Store in Hull.

According to deputies, a 1993 Freightliner semi‐tractor, owned by Jeremy Rutledge, of Hull, was parked and unattended on the truck parking area at Cenex. Another vehicle or semi‐trailer, unknown make or model, struck the Freightliner and left the area without reporting the accident, according to authorities. 

Authorities estimate damage to the Rutledge semi at about $2-thousand.

Deputies say the collision likely happened sometime between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening. Authorities advise that the striking vehicle may have damage to the passenger side of the tractor or semi-trailer.
