Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will meet in regular session at 4:30 p.m. this Wednesday afternoon in the council chambers at the Sheldon Community Services Center across 9th Street from KIWA Radio.
On their consent agenda are the meeting minutes from the previous meeting, the list of claims, financial reports, a number of cigarette sales permits, a resolution setting wages and benefits, and an authorization for an end-of-year bill run if necessary. Unless a council member requests that an item be pulled out of the consent agenda to vote on separately, the entire consent agenda will be voted on in a single motion.
In old business, the council will have the third and final reading, and the likely adoption of the sewer and water ordinances, changing rates and other details.
In new business, the council will consider approval of a resolution setting a public hearing for July 1st for a $572,000 emergency services non-TIF bond and proposals from Beck Engineering on the Pape Land Phase 1 design. They will also discuss property and casualty insurance.
The meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. in the council chambers and is available on YouTube.
