Orange City, Iowa — A camper was destroyed in a fire on Friday, July 17, 2026, in Orange City.
According to Orange City Fire Chief Dan Roghair, at about 9:20 a.m., the Orange City Fire Department was called to the report of an RV on fire at/near 404 Amsterdam Drive Southeast in Orange City.
When they got there, the chief says the fire department saw flames coming from the van-style camper.
Roghair says no injuries were reported, and the fire didn’t burn any buildings or other structures.
The Alton Fire Department provided automatic mutual aid. The Orange City Ambulance Squad also provided assistance.
He says the cause of the fire is undetermined.
Chief Roghair reports that the camper was totaled in the blaze.
He says the firefighters who responded were on the scene for about 45 minutes.
