Statewide Iowa (RI) — Former Congressman Steve King has endorsed Republican Zach Lahn’s bid for governor.
King served nine terms in the U.S. House. He lost his 2020 re-election campaign to current Congressman Randy Feenstra, who is also running for governor.
King says he knows all the GOP candidates in the race and considers some of them friends, but he says Lahn is the only one he believes has the conservative credentials and the resources to win.
Lahn, a businessman, has contributed a six-figure donation of his own money to his campaign. He says King was his congressman when he was growing up on a farm near Hinton, and he calls the endorsement an honor.
