Sibley, Iowa — It’s already the highest point in Iowa. Now Hawkeye Point north of Sibley is breaking another record — for the tallest ear of corn in Iowa.

We talked to Hawkeye Point Board President Mike Earll of Sibley, and he tells us about it.

A community celebration and dedication ceremony is coming up on Saturday, says Earll. He tells us what they have planned.

Earll tells us about the Hawkeye Point Board.

He gives us a little history about the point.

Again, the “I Reached The Peak” celebration starts with the meal at 10:30 on Saturday morning and will wrap up after the program, which starts at 1:00 p.m.
