Sheldon, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — Two Northwest Iowa Community College students who are military veterans will receive scholarships this fall through a grant awarded to the college’s foundation.
The Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation recently received funding from the American Legion of Iowa Foundation for two $1,000 scholarships.
Charles Brunsting of the American Legion of Iowa visited the Sheldon campus Tuesday, July 14th, to present the $2,000 check to Morgan Granstra of the NCC Foundation.
The scholarships will be awarded during the fall semester to eligible NCC students who are veterans.
The American Legion of Iowa Foundation, incorporated in 1978, provides financial assistance to support Americanism, youth programs, veterans’ rehabilitation, and community service throughout Iowa.
