NCC Informing Potentially Affected Individuals Of Possible Data Breach

Sheldon, Iowa — Some very select individuals with some connection to Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon could have had their data exposed online.

A statement from Northwest Iowa Community College states that on or around November 26th, 2025, NCC became aware of certain unauthorized activity within its computer systems. We are told that upon discovery, NCC promptly took steps to secure its network and engaged third-party specialists in order to determine the nature and scope of the event. They tell us the investigation determined that a limited amount of information may have been accessed without authorization between November 24th, 2025, and November 26th, 2025. After the scope of the unauthorized activity was confirmed, NCC then conducted a review of the potentially impacted information to determine the types of information present and to whom the information related.

They tell us that out of an abundance of caution, NCC is notifying potentially affected individuals and offering complimentary credit monitoring services to those whose information may have been involved.
