Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Rock Rapids woman was injured when she crashed her ATV on a Rock Rapids street late Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened shortly after 5:30 Wednesday afternoon in the 1200-block of South 3rd Avenue in Rock Rapids.
Deputies say 31-year old Kari Jurrens was eastbound on 3rd Avenue, when she lost control of her ATV and hit the curb, flew off her ATV and landed in the road.
Officials say Jurrens was taken to the Sanford Rock Rapids Hospital, and then transferred by air ambulance to Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Deputies describe her injuries as “non-life threatening.”
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Lyon County Ambulance and Rock Rapids Fire Department.
