Semi Rolls South of Hartley

Hartley, Iowa — An Ocheyedan man’s semi rolled south of Hartley on Thursday, October 5th.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that just after 9:30 pm on Thursday, 60-year-old James McDonald of Ocheyedan was driving a 2006 Peterbilt semi-tractor pulling a trailer westbound on 360th Street, south of Hartley. According to the report, McDonald attempted to turn north onto Van Buren Avenue and turned too sharply causing both tractor and trailer to turn onto it’s side coming to rest in the east ditch.

The Peterbilt received $37,812 damage.

No injuries were reported.
