The end of summer means it is time for the dogs to have their day at the pool in Sheldon.
The Sheldon Outdoor Aquatic Center is hosting the annual Doggie Dip tonight, Friday, August 21st, 2026. The unique event is scheduled from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, offering an opportunity for four-legged family members to splash and play.
Organizers have listed several rules to keep everyone safe. All participating dogs must be spayed or neutered and up to date on their vaccinations. To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, it’s required that all dogs are friendly toward both other dogs and people.
When not in the water, dogs are required to be kept on a leash. The event is designated only for dogs and their owners. Additionally, owners must take charge of picking up their pet’s waste.
With multiple safety guidelines in place, the center aims to wrap up the summer with a fun and community-focused event for area pet lovers.
Again, that Doggie Dip runs from 5:30 until 6:30 Friday evening at the aquatic center in Sheldon.
