Head coach Dan Lanning enters his fifth season in Eugene with a bona fide national championship contender. The Ducks are ranked No. 2 in the Preseason Coaches Poll and have reached the College Football Playoff in each of the past two seasons — both times falling to Big Ten opponents they faced earlier in the year.
Lanning says the league’s strength speaks for itself.
Oregon opens the regular season Saturday, September 5th, hosting Boise State in Eugene.
