Worthington Man Taken To Hospital After Monday Crash Near Sibley

Sibley, Iowa– A Worthington, Minnesota man was taken to the hospital after a crash near Sibley on Monday, August 3, 2026.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 1:00 p.m., 20-year-old Kaeden Sounnarath of Worthington was driving a 2006 Toyota northbound on Highway 59, five miles east of Sibley and two south.

They tell us that his tires dropped off the roadway onto the right shoulder. They say he then overcorrected and lost control. The car entered the ditch, striking the ditch and causing damage to the vehicle, which then traveled into the field where it came to rest.

The Sibley Ambulance took Sounnarath to Osceola Regional Health Center Hospital.

Sounnarath’s Toyota sustained $4,000 in damages. Also damaged in the crash were about a hundred dollars’ worth of soybeans.
